Art makes no sense without energy, and indeed you can't do art correctly at all without energy. Art is reality creation of the first and most personal order and the original, first and most primal form of magic. All human creations come through art. As such, it is a HUGE topic for energists - and for artists, ENERGY is probably *the* topic. Even if they don't know that ... yet ... Excited to be starting this art & energy group in time for Solstice 2013!

This symbol hybrid is one of my favourites. It's a wonderful thing on so many levels.
Very romantic, too.
Following The Real Man project, I thought the next step was to paint a man. Now, I was not altogether wrong with that idea; in fact, "to paint a man" is perfectly correct.
Only we're not painting a man like in an oil portrait. Oh no ... We are painting on the man. Of course ... obvious once you know ... and oh, so very primal.
An interesting fantasy photo shoot with an archetype - the Black Baron.
I could go on about this for hours but I shan't
Knock, knock ... who's there ...?
I got a new 100mm lens for my Canon DSLR for Christmas. Thought I would take it out for a walk for the first time. It's an interesting thing. I'm sure I'll get better at it with practice ...
A "Mona Lisa" is a painting of a person who doesn't exist in the Hard.
They may exist on other levels however :-)
Here are three Dragon Lords, Rix, Chay and DeVille who might not be hard as such but they certainly are - here.
I acquired some roses and decided to photograph them. Then I made some handy Facebook blanks for many an occasion. So here are some red roses, white roses, pink roses and fantasy roses.
Ah, the magic of the rose ...
So, we've done the cave painting. We've done the handprints, the stick figures, the symbols.
The obvious answer has to be to portray a human being. I'm a female so my natural inclination is to want to paint men.
And talking of primal art, what could be more primal than sitting and gazing into a fire? What might you see within? Spirits, shapes, angels, birds, stories waiting to be told?
Did all visionary art arise from fire?
What do you see?
Casting The Bones or CTB is a primal magic device to navigate reality. But how do you evolve that?
That was a challenge which caused me to cast many, many bones ...
Of all the various things I do casting objects in various types of polymer resin is probably what I enjoy the most. One day, I'll get a 3D printer - Father Christmas, are you listening?
Meantime, here are some Time Diamonds and a playful chandelier.
Primal art has a feature that sets it apart from "modern art" or "contemporary art" or even "classical art" - namely that it is from a place where art and magic were one and the same and had not yet been broken apart. Art was magic, magic was art and as all art served a magical purposes, so did all magical purposes serve art itself. The logical next step from 1st Art is the hand print on the cave wall, and then to go on and put other things on the cave wall as well.
So it made sense to make a cave painting at this juncture.
It is a fact that any time I move into that arty frame of mind, I get given gifts from the Universe. The other day I got the most fabulous surprise daily diamonds (now my desktop background). Today, just now, I got a truly amazing light show and some very cool photos - just like that ... :-)
Four days and five nights ...
If anyone ever tells you doing art is for lazy people, don't believe them ...
During my original voyage into primal magic - which is where primal art came from! - I happened across Voodoo and the idea that the original idea of "the creator" comes into being when you shape a humanoid figure from clay with your own fair hands ...
This is the start of many things including the art dolls. This is a repost of the original article from SH.com which wanted to be on this website - so welcome to my spirit friends on 1-art.eu :-)
Art is a very personal journey. And every so often, there are these priceless experiences that one really can't put into words. I guess that's the difference between painting and sculpting and writing about after the fact ...
At any rate, whilst working on the "Damian Hirst" symbol painting, I had a moment of revelation ...
Inspired by Will Taylor's new album, I found myself wanting to make a spirit doll (art doll) for the first time in a long time. I was surprised by this but also very happy because the process of making these little sculptures is nothing like anything else I've ever done.
So meet the Sand Shaman and his story ...
I've heard tell that as a painter, the holy grail is to "get a reaction from the audience."
Well I can proudly report that a person had a nervous breakdown over one of my paintings and was "overcome by the painting" to the degree that they spent about an hour hyperventilating, trembling and crying ...
Yes, well, what do I say to this?
It seems my art is different by design ...
Check this out, see if you can "spot the real StarFields" amongst this little lot.
The "Celebration" design for the 10th Anniversary EmoTrance Conference.
EmoTrance is an amazing modality; indeed there would be no 1-art.eu website without it.
For ten years, EmoTrance has been flying under the radar, being used as a modern research tool which has already brought about massive changes - well, we might as well call them what they are, a real paradigm shift in the theory and practice of modern energy work.
So the theme was, "It's time to let the genie out of the bottle!"
Alright so no painting is painting itself here literally. A canvas jumping out of the cupboard, sticking out it's little arms and legs, undoing the paint tube and with squeals of pleasure, beginning to apply Alizarin Crimson to themselves in long, slow strokes ... ;->
What I'm talking about here is a process by which some paintings "arrive" - like Gold Fall.
Just put this title down - that's funny. A "classic" symbol painting. A traditional symbol painting. The first one of those was in 2004, but I do know what I mean by that.
A classic symbol painting is created by movements of a hand holding a pen or brush in response to the instruction, "Give me something ..."
I love The Genius Symbols. They have brought immeasurable joy into my life, I have just had such a good time making different symbol sets, and eventually, I made a symbol game board, an acrylic painting on canvas.
I use it for special purposes and always regretted I couldn't take it with me when I went away to a conference or such; and when I came across a company who prints custom art scarves the other day, the The Genius Symbol Mandala literally jumped into my mind. But before we got started on that, there was the vector version to be done ...
