So, I need business cards for the forthcoming art exhibition. Moo.com was suggested and it seems so reasonable, so for the second time I went there and started the process. For the second time, I lost my will to live. I need "Silvia Specials."
I'll have to make them myself. Immediately, life, love of life and love of art returned and with it, sparkling excitement on this sunny Sunday morning.
Oooh ... what shall we make ...? :-)
Here is a video taken at EMO 2014 - a video documentary following Silvia Hartmann's guided tour through energy art, art solutions and all things art for energists!
To me personally, art has always been about evolution. It is a way I get from A to Q and sometimes, to B. For evolution you need change and I like change.
One thing I feel needed changing above all else was the disconnect between art and money.
Now when you think of magic and of ritual ... I have created here a true magic ritual to start selling art from this day forth. 23 different little art solutions paintings, each one of which addresses an aspect :-) Each one is for sale at £23, and carries the intention to bring their new owners that which they desire.
They will be the first paintings I will have ever sold, and they are the start on the new level. And I never thought the day would come when I CANNOT WAIT to hand them over and be delighted about the entire transaction, from conception via creation to exchanging them for money and sending them off into the world. Fantastic! :-)
Inspired by a spirited discussion about having a personal relationship with colour on the FaceBook Art Group today, here is something I made earlier - a HypnoDream, "Receiving The Colours."
A meditation on colour for artists. Turn off the lights, take a deep breath, and relax ... :-)
Art is for everyone, not just the chosen few who have spent decades learning the secrets of craft in the lofty towres of academia. To make meaningful art, you need passion and an understanding how to translate what you want to share with the world into material objects.
Here is a set of very modern energy art exercises to get you started with your own True Creative Art.
July 2013, I started a symbol painting called "Love Tree" which is based on an actually existing tree of that name at a friend's house in the US. It didn't get finished before I went on the epic road trip in the Challenger and indeed, there was so much to do that it wasn't until December 2013 I finally had a space to bring it forth. Yes, and that was the beginning of "The Love Storm ..."
Art makes no sense without energy, and indeed you can't do art correctly at all without energy. Art is reality creation of the first and most personal order and the original, first and most primal form of magic. All human creations come through art. As such, it is a HUGE topic for energists - and for artists, ENERGY is probably *the* topic. Even if they don't know that ... yet ... Excited to be starting this art & energy group in time for Solstice 2013!
This symbol hybrid is one of my favourites. It's a wonderful thing on so many levels.
Very romantic, too.
Following The Real Man project, I thought the next step was to paint a man. Now, I was not altogether wrong with that idea; in fact, "to paint a man" is perfectly correct.
Only we're not painting a man like in an oil portrait. Oh no ... We are painting on the man. Of course ... obvious once you know ... and oh, so very primal.
An interesting fantasy photo shoot with an archetype - the Black Baron.
I could go on about this for hours but I shan't
Knock, knock ... who's there ...?
I got a new 100mm lens for my Canon DSLR for Christmas. Thought I would take it out for a walk for the first time. It's an interesting thing. I'm sure I'll get better at it with practice ...
A "Mona Lisa" is a painting of a person who doesn't exist in the Hard.
They may exist on other levels however :-)
Here are three Dragon Lords, Rix, Chay and DeVille who might not be hard as such but they certainly are - here.
So, we've done the cave painting. We've done the handprints, the stick figures, the symbols.
The obvious answer has to be to portray a human being. I'm a female so my natural inclination is to want to paint men.
And talking of primal art, what could be more primal than sitting and gazing into a fire? What might you see within? Spirits, shapes, angels, birds, stories waiting to be told?
Did all visionary art arise from fire?
What do you see?
Casting The Bones or CTB is a primal magic device to navigate reality. But how do you evolve that?
That was a challenge which caused me to cast many, many bones ...
Of all the various things I do casting objects in various types of polymer resin is probably what I enjoy the most. One day, I'll get a 3D printer - Father Christmas, are you listening?
Meantime, here are some Time Diamonds and a playful chandelier.
Primal art has a feature that sets it apart from "modern art" or "contemporary art" or even "classical art" - namely that it is from a place where art and magic were one and the same and had not yet been broken apart. Art was magic, magic was art and as all art served a magical purposes, so did all magical purposes serve art itself. The logical next step from 1st Art is the hand print on the cave wall, and then to go on and put other things on the cave wall as well.
So it made sense to make a cave painting at this juncture.
It is a fact that any time I move into that arty frame of mind, I get given gifts from the Universe. The other day I got the most fabulous surprise daily diamonds (now my desktop background). Today, just now, I got a truly amazing light show and some very cool photos - just like that ... :-)
Four days and five nights ...
If anyone ever tells you doing art is for lazy people, don't believe them ...
During my original voyage into primal magic - which is where primal art came from! - I happened across Voodoo and the idea that the original idea of "the creator" comes into being when you shape a humanoid figure from clay with your own fair hands ...
This is the start of many things including the art dolls. This is a repost of the original article from SH.com which wanted to be on this website - so welcome to my spirit friends on 1-art.eu :-)
Art is a very personal journey. And every so often, there are these priceless experiences that one really can't put into words. I guess that's the difference between painting and sculpting and writing about after the fact ...
At any rate, whilst working on the "Damian Hirst" symbol painting, I had a moment of revelation ...
